My son won’t be circumcised it’s been talked about throughout my family and friends because I thought I could get opinions about it with them and they all judged the idea. So with that being said I’m not getting him circumcised because I think it WRONG and that’s my opinion

Odd. I have three boys and no one discusses my son’s penises. That’s really strange. If they did I would tell them they’re disgusting for it.

I circumcised my son but I think a hand full of people know that. For whoever commented that if people were talking about her sons penis she’d say their sick for doing so, I agree, no one but you baby’s dad and dr needs to be talking about a baby boys penis and putting their opinions on it.

@k_nc, I agree. I mean I wanted my son circumcised but so did his dad so I basically got what I wanted because he also wanted it done.
It’s a cosmetic procedure that’s up to the parents and only the parents and I didn’t even get opinions on it. I got my son done because I didn’t want him to get infections later on from him not being able to clean himself properly no matter how many times his dad or I showed him. We can only help him for so long.

@noahs.mommy, we agreed on what we wanted to do which was definitely nice but like you said we didn’t ask anyone. Our child our decision and I don’t think it’s anybody’s business 🤷🏼♀️ unless you’re changing his diaper you don’t need to worry about what’s going on down there

@k_nc, literally the only people that know are his dr. Myself and his dad, my parents and his aunt because those are the people that change his diapers. I never once asked the question “should I circumcise my son?” Because it was a topic to talk about between my sons dad and I not my sons dad myself and everyone else.

I’m pretty sure the moms that commented on your post sons are all circumcised, it is a hot topic just like vaccines car seat safety formula fed and breastfed babies , the list can go on.. but yeah my family is kind of like yours questioning if I was going to circumcised my son and I felt the need to talk about it because it’s your family , we didn’t do that to him I don’t see the point of it it’s there for a reason ... there is a group chat on here if you want to be added to it .. it’s so helpful and the moms are great ! Regardless on what you try to do it’s your decision and if your son grows older and decides he wants to then that will be a choice he will have to make ..... It's your child, your choice. If he wants to get it done when he's older then he can make decision. I had a friend that chose to get it done as a teenager and he survived lol!!
I understand how you feel I made a post about choosing to have my son circumcised due to my beliefs and what my husband decided and I literally got shot down and was told that both me and my son were going to hell because It’s going against God and that her son would never play with someone that is circumcised... I literally felt so bad after having the discussion because the post wasn’t made to cause backlash but some how it did. But at the end of the day it’s your decision on what you choose to do I talked with my family as well when it came to getting him circumcised because I wanted to be upfront with them.

@miasmama0517, yeah you have to blow it off your shoulders because the negative comments will never stop when it comes to a topic like this....no one was there when my son did get circumcised but everyone knew he did I don’t feel like it’s a nasty thing to talk about circumcision to you family....especially if you get advice...I remember when I first started my period my mom called all her sisters to get tips and have them all come talk to me together just I didn’t feel so alone and stuff...they probably just don’t understand how close you are to family

@jahniesha, exactly I’m very close to them and they wouldn’t ever tell me anything that they felt like would hurt me and not that it hurts me that they don’t accept my decision but it’s definitely not disgusting to talk about my sons penis to my own family so I don’t understand why people were saying it’s between me and his dad and the dr because I’m all honestly the dr doesn’t have any day either 🤷🏽♀️ but that’s nice of your mom. @mrs.letty.luna, I had a problem with that topic as well I did pierce her ears and it’s not worth it girl because it’s so tedious you have to clean and clean and clean hers got infected when she went to her grandmas because she didn’t want them pierced in the first place and then she lost a earring and I just took them out all together and I should have just let her choose herself. It’s her body so she should choose if she wants her ears pierced let alone him choose whether or not he want to be circumcised and I’ll explain that to them plain and simple.

I didn't circumsize my first boy, but his pedi taught me how to care for an uncirc penis all wrong. He ended up needing to be circumcised at age 2 because of this. Make sure your pedi knows what they're talking about. Do what you feel is right mamas!! I never understood why anyone thought it was their business what someone else does with their babies privates.
