My lo will probably stay in hers until a year as well. Just wasn't sure if that was ok. I have the convertible as well but my poor girl is barely getting bigger lately.
You can use a convertible as early as you want! Well, within the weight limits but usually they start at average newborn size. I waited until 12 months though just because I liked the convenience of the infant carrier.
I plan on using the infant carrier until he outgrows the weight/height limits. It’s the safest in car accidents. Each stage of car seat/booster becomes less safe.

Mine move to a convertible at a year. But some people completely skip the infant carrier and go straight to the convertible, its just preference.

@olivbee that's why I used it too. At new born stage it's hard to get them in and out especially with older children
