So I'm kinda upset I went to the doctor on Friday I'm right on how far I am they did a ultrasound and the doctor came in just a few mins after the nurse showed him the picture and they said they needed to do blood work and other thing because bas d on the picture from the base of babies neck to the bottom is a black space they say it's to thick and it could mean my baby could have downs or a heart defect which I don't care if baby has downs but how can a doctor say that just by looking at the picture

It is their job to spot abnormalities. I think he was just doing his job by letting you know he wants to do further testing to be on the safe side and letting you know what those tests were for.

I have no worry's of the baby having any problems Im just scared my other kids were the same way

They are trained to spot certain things and make guesses based off them. Of course they aren't perfect i was told my son was going to have down syndrome because he showed clubbed feet. Was tested for blood and everything still down syndrome. He came out with clubbed feet and that was it. That's personallt why I don't get blood tests for disorders anymore I don't want to worry my whole pregnancy we would love our baby either way.

I have no clue how the doctors spot things in a ultrasound, cause it’s one of the hardest things to read, just stay positive sending prayers your way ❤️❤️

Try not to stress mama I know it's hard they told me this the majority of my pregnancy and being that he a boy boys always look like something is wrong I just got cleared from all the issues they were telling me on Tuesday your blessed and so is baby block that devil out you got this hun

@ambrerumph1440 I'm trying not to worry it's hard I looked back at my two older kids and there was nothing like this one maybe it just means it's my girl cross fingers

@mellissawyman0804 I know hun I was the same way I just got relieved of feeling my pregnancy and feeling good about it being the whole time it been negative which I think doctors shouldn't do cause I'm at the end of my pregnancy been depressed about it the whole time and that's not right but trust baby is fine
