@valerie_jean, @tinyhumansbitch, OMG, it's like a switch. He turned two a week ago, and ever since naptime and bedtime have turned into a war zone. Screaming so much I'm surprised the neighbors aren't knocking on our door. He kicks so hard his crib moves 6" from the wall. We've been trying to put him to bed for three hours now.
IM SO WITH YOU. He turns into a monster!!! I routinely shed a tear or two and bed or naptime and I gave up on naps for 2 days this week bc it took so long
@sarahbethk, YES! I'm about ready to ditch naptime, hoping it'll means he'll go to bed easier. His great grandma is coming to see him this weekend and I'd feel so bad if he's a little banshee the whole time. She hasn't seen him since he was 6m!
I've been wondering the same dang thing! My little guy isn't even 2 yet and i've been dealing with his crappy sleep stuff for a month now. He's usually my good sleeper and has been since he was born, but the past month have been hell. He gives me a hard time going to sleep and then wakes up at random times and is still tired but won't go back to sleep. That means he is extra cranky during the day and mean to his older brothers, it's driving me crazy. I deliver newspapers in the wee morning hours, so there have been days where i got like 2.5 hours of sleep and that was it. I'm hoping this crap lets up soon because i am tiiiired.
@nomli, I know he needs his nap bc he turns into the devil without it and once he goes down he sleeps for like 2 hours, sometimes 3. But he’s waking up once or twice at night for a cup of milk, which he hasn’t done in a long time, and then he’s up by 6am most days. Between him and his brother I pray to get 5 hours of broken sleep a night. Kill me.
@tinyhumansbitch, he was such a good sleeper up until this! Like, ridiculously good.
@linsceb, that sucks!! Once he's asleep he usually stays asleep, but he didn't fall asleep until after midnight last night, and we even tried bringing him to bed with us! He has way too much energy; he sat there for an hour poking around our heads "ear, haha. Eye, hahaha! Mama!! Hahahaha!"
@sarahbethk, maybe I'll try cutting back his nap. Like, instead of 2-3 hours, wake him up at the 1/1.5 mark. He might be napping too much during the day so at night he's not tired. Maybe. Hopefully.
