I’ve seen a few different posts on here of some mommas struggling with supplemental iron side effects and thought I’d share what worked for me. I was terribly anemic my last pregnancy even with iron pills and vitamins with iron. Pretty much would get scolded every other month at the doc office like I wasn’t taking them because my levels wouldn’t come up enough. Let me tell you that I’ve had ZERO iron issues this pregnancy and the ONLY thing that’s different is I cook in a cast iron skillet multiple times a week! I’ve researched it and the benefits are proven. Man I wished I had known that 3 years ago! Hopefully this helps some of you ladies too ❤️
My doctor actually told me to do this to get my levels up! She said it works better thennpills
@jordanrwilliams25, those pills are awful. I dreaded taking them everyday and got even more mad when they weren’t even helping. What a waste of misery. I hope you get some relief!
@hotrodfjg 😂😂😂 I need to get one asap because the pills are awful no matter how I take it
@jordanrwilliams25, yes! I was amazed at not having iron issues and was telling my husband and he said duh, we use cast iron now and you get iron from that. So I started researching it and sure enough he’s right lol. Like, why didn’t you say something last time cause it’s been sitting in the garage for like 6 years cause we only took it on camping trips 🤦🏻♀️
I use something called the "lucky iron fish" usually put it in water i was boiling.. my mothers anemic and uses it so got the idea from her lol kind of the same deal as cooking in iron
@dinamarie1995, that’s awesome, I wish more docs would! Definitely true.
