Feeling really defeated I want my son to have a good school experience it feels like I'm letting him…

@sadie.w he is being evaluated for moderate Autism and Adhd but the Dr at his school keeps switching appointment dates canceling them making me wait months to be seen after canceling the appointment. It's nothing but stress he's been through a lot with the 3 broken arms then the surgery to fix the bone cyst and has had a hard time with school from the get go it would be nice to finally get answers and support he fully needs

Can you switch doctors? That's so annoying! Thankfully almost summer break

@megand15 ya I'm going to my Dr and ask her to get the files from the school I feel so bad for him but I trust my Dr so we should get answers soon

I would def just take him to be evaluated outside the school. Tbh I’ve been through the run around with the school therapists when my son was young and they thought he was developmentally delayed and all type of garbage when what it really came down to is they “thought” his motor skills were behind because he was shaky and couldn’t cut evenly... after months of run around they finally told me the cutting skills were their reasoning for evaluating him etc I pointed out he is left handed and they only have right handed scissors in his class it was determined there is nothing wrong with him 😑. My son and youngest as well as my nephew have all been diagnosed with adhd but completely outside of school. They were all evaluated at a clinic in Scarborough. Please don’t feel like your failing him if anyone is it’s the school which is common and exactly why my children don’t go to school with Tdsb anymore I drive them out everyday 😩.

Thanks ladies i needed this I've called my Dr she's calling the school to get all the files and we are going from there thankfully tomorrow school is over so he can get a break and have fun at his summer camp. Once again thanks @mimixtmn @megand15 @sadie.w @missbananish ❤❤❤❤
