I had to try this with my son when he was constipated.

@mswedes did it work for your son

@mommie2be26th, It’s not the Vaseline but the act of inserting something into the rectum. It triggers your body to “go”. It did help him. He usually poops after I take his temp too. 💩💩💩 I’m not sure how comfortable I’d be with it as an adult. I had to eat extra fiber when I was pregnant to help regulate. Lots of oatmeal.

@mswedes oh boy!!!. Well my mom said to try 🙄🙄 I wouldn't be comfortable either

@mommie2be26th, after having my son I bought a “women’s stool softener” from Walmart. It’s half as strong as a regular laxative.
If you’re having issues, I’d call my OB and ask if I can take a stool softener just to ease the discomfort immediately then try to adjust my diet to avoid it in the future.

@mswedes well I just took yestedday some colace

@mommie2be26th, oh god. I hope you go soon! I can’t imagine how uncomfortable you must be. Sorry I can’t offer any better advice

@mswedes I hope so too. I hate being this way.

Just drink a glass of prune juice, or even some corn. By morning it will come.

I got some dried prunes the other day and ate too many. 😳 works wonders.

Thanks mommies for your advice. I did what my mom said and it worked although I did have to do a little pushing.
