I feel like the only thing stopping this labour is my posterior cervix? Anyone else had this, basically my cervix is facing towards my tail bone and baby's head has gone past it so the pressure is in my vagina but not on the cervix im getting all the contractions but nothing happening 😭😭😭😭😭

I get this. FOUR DAYS in active labour with my last and cervix never came forward so they kept yanking it forward every hour or so to try and make me progress. Worse pain than contractions that was..... was hell. I’ve had it with all mine and it never comes forward in labour unless pulled and this is my 5th pregnancy and genuinely going to ask my consultant for a c-section because I just can’t face it again xx

@hg83 I really can't even bare the thought of having that done, the heads so so low and as you can imagine really big now she's full sized ready for birth so even getting a examination it's hard to get the plastic thing in there it feels like it's crushing her head against my pelvis don't want to hurt her so just hoping my cervix comes down and into the right position xx
@k720, oh lovely, I’m sorry. I truly get it. Wish I could help. Some people do have them pulled forward and then progress normally tho? I’m odd 😂 xx
@hg83 no I've read that it's so painful and I can imagine because even having a check up down there was so painful, it's really brining me down if I'm honest like it's driving me crazy like what's wrong with me why does this have to happen 😔😕 xx
@k720, I was 37 weeks with Seth. Its sheer agony. Have you asked anyone to bring cervix forward? X
@hg83 wow. That sounds horrific! I don't think that will be done for me yet I'm 37 weeks and 4 days, I had all my previous baby's around the 37 week mark, I've been having full on contractions and serioisly painful vaginal pain for weeks it's crippling like stopping me from being able to function even getting up for a wee is a challenge. I'm glad someone knows what I'm talking about though it's been like talking to brick walls nobody seems ti understand when I tell them what's up xx

Fingers crossed for you hun x
@kayteamay some people are not effected by it but i can tell you now it's extremely painful if the cervix is high and posterior yet the baby's head is seriously low in the vaginal wall, basically on examination you can feel the baby's head before finding the cervix so there's not pressure directly on the cervix nothing to make it dilate so I'm getting contractions but no dilation because of the cervix position, it's all very uncomfortable right now just got to hope it naturally changed position xx
I have a posterior cervix aswell but it hasn’t effected any of my labours. I’m sure if there was a problem your midwife would have done something. How far along are you? X
@kayteamay yeah it's pissing me of cos it's a posterior cervix which is normal in pregnancy but as you come closer to the end it should of changed but mine hasn't
Have you had that checked?
