So I won't get confused I calculate months going by lmp. For example if your lmp was on a 30th then every 30th is a month. The same way you calculate babies age before they're a year old. So that puts your pregnancy at 9 months and a week which isn't so far off as if you turn every 4 weeks into a month then you end up with 10 months of pregnancy
You're 3 months pregnant because you've completed 3 months of pregnancy. You're working on completing your 4th month of pregnancy so you can say you're 3.5 months along.
