If so get a restraining order on her. If he’s not going to protect his baby then you protect him. You can use ss in court for sure.

You might not be able to use a text in court just because technology now a days are not reliable sources stuff can be tampered with. You should file a police report show the cops the text. The policee report will be better to take to court.
