Wow, so teeny! What gestation was she? My middle son was 1lb6oz and 12” and THAT was tiny.

@miracles__mommy, despite her small stature, at least she baked until 27 rather than 22- every day in is great! I watched many 27 weekers do quite well. Positive thoughts and prayers her way. Congratulations mama.

@laniejay omg that makes me feel a lot better about my situation with her. I'm just so happy and thankful that she made it💘 the nurses at Riley told me flat out that if she would have been a boy, then she would have passed away. I was like ommmmg and started crying

@miracles__mommy, ugh yes. They call it “wimpy white boy syndrome” 😡 my guy was born at 23+1 and I can’t tell you how many times we were told “if he was a girl, we’d say try to save him...” yes I know statistically girls (black girls to be accurate) do the best, but I can’t make him what he’s not.

He’s 4 now and has no delays or disability. We have minor issues (minor in the grand scheme of things- not minor to him) like severe reflux and SPD, but he has surpassed everyone’s expectations.

She is such a blessing sending prayers your way 🙏🏾
