I have my first stress test tomorrow. Nervous.

@mandynicole883, my tech was sooooo rough. She used the buzzer 3 times and she shook my stomach with her hand to try and get him to move his diaphragm. I almost puked.

And the app is BabyBump but it is no longer on the AppStore

I thought it was babybump. I used to have it until they shut it down and i got this app. The ultrasound tech is always rough with my belly and she says "let me put you in a giant bag of water and tell me how much you would feel this." Lmao. Does make sense. But if you almost threw up cuz of it id def tell her she is being to rough. Maybe try drinking a mt dew before your appt to wake baby up. Is that what the buzzer is for as well? To wake baby?

@mandynicole883, I don’t drink soda, but I ate a ton of ice (which always gets the baby moving) he was moving, he just wasn’t going the heart rate acceleration or diaphragm movements. The buzzer is used to make the baby move. But it’s like it freaks him out and he spasms for like 10 seconds then goes back to normal. So I don’t see the point in her using it. He should do his stuff on his own, I feel like if she has to use the buzzer then he obviously isn’t doing it on his own yet. And yeah I love BabyBump so I never deleted it lol.

I only deleted it cuz i miscarried and when i got far enough along this time to feel remotely excited the app was already gone. I wish they would of never got rid of it. Orange juice always makes my lil baby move crazy! I dont think i like the buzzer thing. What if it causes hearing issues? Or makes baby scared of loud noises cuz the buzzer? Id for sure ask the nurse what you can do before hand to help baby move instead of the buzzer. May i ask why you have to do NST?

@mandynicole883, Sorry to hear about that. Yes the buzzer worries me because his movements are not“normal” after the buzzer. And his heart beat skyrockets. It worried me a lot. I have a massive deep vein blood clot the entire length of my left leg

@knockout oh wow!!! That is a massive clot! Hope everything works out for you and baby!!! Id for sure ask nurse if its mandatory. Or what are your other options.

@mandynicole883, yeah I take 2 shots everyday into my stomach to prevent other clots. They bruise really bad too. I’ll definitely try orange juice and ice before to see if that gets him moving.

I don’t think you can tell them no if you do they will send you to er. I had to do stress tests twice a week from 28 weeks on with both. They told me they weren’t allowed to buzz me more than 2 times though
