I’m really considering joining the military when my son gets a little older they’ve raised the enlistment age to 39. The only problem is I don’t want him to forget me while I’m gone, that’s why I’m waiting until he gets a little older. Plus, I need to lose this baby weight and get in shape. I know this will be hard but my baby deserves a better life than I’m currently able to provide. 😪

@mazzika, that’s my biggest issue is being away from him. I do want to do it while he’s younger and just bond as much as I can with. I stay at home with him now so it will be so hard to be away from him but I want to provide him a better life😩

My husband is ex military and I am planning on enlisting after I have my 2nd and am back in shape.

The military does offer some good benefits but there is definitely a trade off. My husband is in and he’s gone for 6 months at a time. He’s been deployed for about 4 years if you put all the time together. I think it’s a little bit more bearable for his older kids now though since they can FaceTime and such, but it’s still hard. I do enjoy moving though and living in different places.

@chelseaz, yeah my father was in the army for 22 years and he was always deployed. I’ll have to make a list of pros and cons 😞

@mommingainteasy Message me if you do decide to join! I would love to have a friend going through a similar process. I went through the entire enlistment process when my daughter was 6m but then I got "knocked up" again 😂 guess my husband didn't want me to leave lol.
