Hey ladies, has anyone had laser hair removal while pregnant ? If so did it hurt more ? Or did it cause skin pigmentation like it says it would on the net ? I’m currently 6 weeks 3 days pregnant with baby #1 and I suffer from PCOS and one of the unfortunate side effects for me is facial hair 😩 and I’m in desperate need of an appointment but worried it might cause pigmentation.

@spookylyn, thanks for the reply hun. Just a little confused, my DR said it was ok as long as it wasn’t near my stomach or pointing at it

I did. I was high risk yet my Dr, my OB and the laxer place all said it was fine as long as not on the stomach or pubic area. I still got my underarms and legs done or I would have gone crazy.
I had no issues. It didn’t hurt more but I don’t find it hurts at all anyway, and I had no rashes or skin irritations after but I made sure to use the gel and scrub regularly.
Right after Bub was born I was back to getting my bikini area done and I find that hurt more after than before. I did NOT get my bikini done while pregnant.

@liz.h, yea same with me. I asked my gp and she said it was fine as long as not near the the stomach too. The laser place also said if the dr says ok and the pregnancy is good that it’s fine. I’m scared cuz I’ve looked online and they say it can cause pigmentation on the face but I don’t think I can wax for nine months. If I did I’d be doing it every 2 weeks 😩
