I just completely lost my shit on my kids and husband.
I just completely lost my shit on my kids and husband.
My oldest was the best behaved boy ever. My youngest has always been naughty. My husband always thinks it’s funny to “joke” around about how I don’t do anything (the only thing my husband is responsible for is wiping his own ass, other than that I do everything for him, our kids and the house).
Anyhow, so lately anytime we go to a store, restaurant, anywhere I’m that crazy mom telling my kids not to run, not to scream, not to touch, etc. All. The. Ducking. Time. Seriously, every time. My oldest has totally picked up my youngest bad behavior. My youngest is 3 and has never slept through the night. He still wakes up to nurse. My husband has never gotten up with the kids.
As I’m having breakfast my 3 year old is literally hanging on me, while the 6 year old is rough housing with him. They both fall over knocking a chair on top
Of themselves, almost pulling me down with them. I completely blew up. I seriously can’t even eat in peace. I never eat with the family bc I’m always getting stuff for everyone. Someone needs a napkin, someone else needs water. More food? Why, yes let me get that for you since you’re already done and I haven’t even gotten to sit down and start eating. And I can’t eat once everyone else is done bc I have a kid hanging off me every second.
I feel terrible for posting this bc I love my kids to death, but I’m seriously reaching my breaking point. 😩

I can’t relate a 1000% to this. Exactly my house. Don’t feel bad. Everyone becomes overwhelmed and loses their minds. We are all humans. It doesn’t mean you don’t love your kids or Dh. Sometimes they are just straight assholes!

We all have been there before

We’ve all been there!! I’m so’s prey your day isn’t going well. Hopefully it turns around for u. Have u had a real conversation with your dh about how you’re feeling? I think he needs to help out more. That’s not fair that u do all the work. It’s called partnership for a reason!!

Pls dont feel bad everyone deserves their own personal space at times and your kids aren't to young to start grasping that concept.
Hubby just needs to share the load. When I start getting tired I just say "ask your dad" . I don't even ask him to help I just send the kids his way.

Yes, don’t be hard on yourself. Everyone hits this point!

I am feeling the same way today girl 💕💕💕 hang in there.. I got 5 minutes of peace today at the expense of my 4 year old drawing a 2.5 inch thick border around my 6 year olds ankles in sharpie and my 6 year old just sat back and allowed it 😩. Not to mention my 6 year old has really bad eczema so ya we couldn’t even scrub the sharpie off only lightly wash it with sensitive soap 😭.

I had one of these days last week. I went to Walmart with my oldest for an hr!! It felt like a vacation lol. I ebf Adam so I couldn’t be long but omg it felt great without my 3yr old and baby on top of me lol. Dh said he was going crazy about 20 min after I left.
I kept telling him, just because you work a physical job doesn’t make my work any less exhausting. Mine is mentally and sometimes physically exhausting. I think he got my point lol.
Sounds like you need time to yourself. A few hrs a week to yourself ❤️

@honeymoonblessing, I do this too lol.

@messybunmom I think my kids totally forget they have a dad sometimes. Drives me crazy! Especially when they can see I'm busy, and he's just sitting playing computer.😂

@punky.brewster, I'm so sorry that you've had so much stress lately! And you work full time, too, correct? That's a lot for one woman to handle, especially with no help. 😢
I know other posters have mentioned it, so I'll just second their recommendation to have a heart-to-heart with your husband. Tell him you need some help.
Also, @yayacarrington has a Peaceful Parenting chat that might be useful for ideas to help deal with your youngest's behavior. I'll send you the link. Good luck punky! 💕💕

I just wanted to say that you’re amazing for doing so much for some many people. I see too many husbands take that for granted so in case he never says thank you, or doesn’t enough, I want to say- you’re amazing.
Second, we all have our boundaries and we can’t pour from an empty cup. This is why it is key to make sure to take care of yourself.
Try not to be too hard on yourself and I hope your husband can find a way to lessen the load on your shoulders. 💕
