Nate has been screaming and spitting up (like every 5 minutes) all day. I couldn't comfort him or get him to stop crying so I finally took him to the ER. He screamed the whole time we were there. The Dr comes in after xrays and blood work and says we can't find anything, it's nothing life threatening. You can go home. I looked at him and said, "I can't get him to stop crying. He has always been fussy but today something is really wrong. He says," well I guess if you want to chose to believe there is something wrong and make yourself miserable then that's your own problem." Then the nurse comes in. I asked in tears how am I even supposed to know when to bring him back in at this point. He says, "bring him back in if he is inconsolable. I'm like" oh like he has been the whole time we have been here?
What a fricken joke. I can't believe I wasted my night at the ER and found out nothing. All they did was make my son feel worse. I feel horrible. The GI Dr just changed his formula two days ago due to discovering he had inflammation in his intestine indicating he had a milk allergy and now all of a sudden he is even worse than before. He is such a sweet guy when he isn't in pain. My poor boy. I need some help tonight. I feel like I don't know what to do anymore.

Oh poor you and baby!! 🙏 praying for you to find out what’s going on. Is the new formula soy based?? Could he be allergic to soy??

Maybe you could make a warm bath and just lay skin to skin together. Could definitely be the formula change. You can try some gripe water as well.

@tiinii @phoebesmommy they did a blood test tonight that is supposed to check for allergies to soy and milk. I guess those won't come back for awhile yet. We just sit and wait now. The new formula is soy based, so they must think there is a possibility that he could have allergies to both.

💜💜 you're doing your best, don't feel down. And if you absolutely need to leave him in crib to have a minute alone it's fine.

@tiinii yeah. That's just it. They say nothing is wrong but he wouldn't cry like that if he wasn't in pain. It's the only way he has to tell me he isn't okay and now I can't fix it. I just can't stand to see him hurt like this.

@tiinii still nothing. Today he finally fell asleep. So thankful that he is calm now. He struggles a lot with the bottle and keeps spitting up. He won't eat like he usually does but at least he seems to be feeling a little better! I need to get some gripe water and try it!
