How do you moms feel about spanking their kids as discipline??
@arlindaseja well at that age I pretty much did what @idontwant2bapie said. A lot of redirection. Now that hes older we just talk. I try nt to lecture because I hated being lectured as a kid so I usually just get my point across and let him know what he did was wrong and I remind him if u are good u will be rewarded so he keeps that in the back of his mind. I mean u learn as they grow because at the same time we are teaching and learning new things together so I just feel like hitting wont get my point across and neither will yelling. Theres so many different alternatives than to resort to a spanking. But, to each their own.
I dont spank my oldest and everywhere I go someone tells me how well behaved he is. Idk my parents didnt spank me so I chose to do the same and I came out pretty well rounded bt best believe some kids I be like dang u need a spanking
@arlindaseja, the only time I find it necessary is when all other options have failed. For us, time outs or quiet time work wonders.
@idontwant2bapie, Do u find it helpful with the behavior? Do u think when they grow up that it will work with them having respect and being a good n kind hearted person? I’m still trying to figure out this whole discipline thing. She’s started to not listen to me and always throws tantrums
I’m not totally against it, depending on age, but most of the time I find it unnecessary
I spank when needed. It’s rare when we do spank all we gotta do is take away electronics video games etc and the world has ended to them.
