Who has mirena iud? How do you like it? I want to hear from the ones who it didn’t work out for too…

I started with mirena and now have paragard. Mirena messed me up. Because of how it’s inserted, it ended up going through my uterus, into my pelvis. I ended up needing surgery to have it removed. Paragard has been great so far. I’ve had it since March. Not sure if there’s a graphic or something to show how they differ when it comes to insertion but even if it didn’t go through my uterus I was having migraines, depression and I was very snippy from the hormones in mirena. I’ve heard it works for a lot of people. It just didn’t work for me.

I removed mines after having it for 4 years. Did have headaches like no tomorrow and sometimes mad sex uncomfortable. I did go back and have the strings curled more which seemed to help some. But over all it was ok.

I had mirena after my 1st. It was a little hard to get over the spotting (I hear it's different for everyone) but my friend at the time encouraged me to keep it and after like 3 months of spotting it was perfect. O had to have it removed because I had a bacteria that was normal for women bt nt for women w the IUD so....

MIRENA WAS THE WORST THING FOR ME. First it made me bleed for months. Second it ended up moving and the doctors couldn’t find it. I had to get surgery for them to find it. I’d never recommend it to anyone

@noahs.mommy it was great. Never gave me problems and my periods weren't bad either

I have had it for almost 2 years now and I love it. I have only had one period since I had my son (he is almost 2) and once I got the Mirena I haven't had my period since and no pregnancies thankfully lol. It's different for everyone but that's my experience :)
