My son is 3 weeks old and has had runny stool for 3 weeks. I took him to the Dr. and they pretty much said it has to run it course because his gut isn't mature. It has caused the most awful diaper rash. I could cry when he does from the pain of using the bathroom. Has anyone else been through this? I need some help, please!
I'm not breastfeeding... he's formula feed. It's not seedy, it's watery yellow... really thin. He's in NB Pampers but I've been putting 1's on him for it to air out. Also I load his butt down with diaper cream... I have so many empty tubes and bought more. I don't even wipe any more... if he has a BM I wash, rinse and dry each time and also leaving him without a pamper each day so the rash can get some air. @kayliajbristow95 @starrbaby
She said he has to get use to formula and yes he's gaining weight @leowifey
This happened to my daughter but she is breastfed. Turns out she has a dairy allergy. At 2 weeks old, her butt was literally raw and nothing helped until I stopped eating everything with dairy in it. After that, it was like magic. Her diaper rash went away and never came back and her poop looked normal. Maybe it’s something in the formula you use? My daughters poop also wasn’t seedy and was straight yellow liquid.
Also, to help clear the rash, I bought some of those blue pad things that they put under you in the hospital and laid it under her most of the day with no diaper on. The air helped heal it.
