How long after your 1 hr glucose test did you find out if you passed? Just curious how long I should…

I was able to check my own results online with the Kaiser. But your doctor should go over them on your next visit. Or you can call.

With my first my dr said no news is good news and didn’t go over my results until my next visit. My second and this one I have a different office and my chart is online so I was able to view the results the same day

@damnkmar I hope I find out before my next appointment. I don't go back for 3 weeks because she is gone on vacation during my week 2.

If you took the test yesterday, you should be able to call the office and get results today. Also, if your hospital/Clinic has your records accessible online, they may already be there.

@caffeine.fiend hmm...im wondering if it just takes longer for my office...everything gets put on my mychart for my office and I checked and it still isn't there. I'm wondering if it's because they send it off to a lab, it's not done internally (my urine analysis is and comes back the same day every time).

Hmmm that is strange. Maybe they haven’t transcribed info from the lab they sent it to. My clinic did everything in-house and results were back the next day. I’m sorry it’s taking so long. I know just how the waiting game goes. I took my 3 hr test, had results online, but dr hadn’t checked anything til almost 2 weeks later because I had been sick so she figured I hadn’t done the test yet. Oddly my numbers were high but she doesn’t have me testing my blood sugar or even meeting with a diabetic educator. She just told me to cut all carbs out of my diet🤦‍♀️

@caffeine.fiend thank you! I was really nervous about it because 1)all the ladies talking on here, 2) I don't know anything about my biological family except diabetes runs in the family. So, I went crazy trying to figure out the accidental causes of scoring a positive to make sure I only got it if I truly had it. I got a 130 and the goal range was 110-140 normal. 💙

I’ve got it again😞. This is the third pregnancy now. But diabetes runs in both families. My dads family has a history, as well as on both sides of my husbands family. I just don’t understand why my dr is being so lax about everything. In the past, I’ve been immediately sent to the diabetes educator, had a diet and exercise plan worked out, and a new glucose monitor within days of learning my numbers were high. This time around, she said to cut all carbs, cut all meat, eat a balanced diet, and monitor my numbers. I let her know my glucose monitor was broken, but two weeks later she still refuses to do anything about getting one ordered for me. I’ve been doing everything I can to keep my numbers down, but don’t know if I’m accomplishing that. Next week I’ll have to talk to her about getting an actual plan in place, as well as meeting with someone to get a glucose monitor and test strips, as my insurance will only cover it if I have a prescription

@caffeine.fiend that is really messed up for her to be basically ignoring it. Do you think you were just like under 5 points over and she felt like it wasn't so bad. We're you high on the 1 hr and the 3 hr? Well I am glad you are taking care of yourself and trying your best, I agree you need to push her for a new monitor and a support plan!

I was high for both 1 and 3 hour test. During the 3 hour test, one of my numbers was over 200 when it was supposed to be under 180. I’m beginning to wonder if I’m her first patient with gestational diabetes, as she’s new to the practice. Will be pushing the issue on Wed. Just glad my last GD baby was only 6lb 10oz. No reason for insulin or c-section. Trying for a repeat, healthy weight and no medical interventions.
