My daughter is a late walker and I'm so tired of everyone telling me it's because we carry her…

Sometimes, babies are delayed and it is not our fault at all. Don’t let these comments bother you. People are so petty.

My son was speech delayed. Speech therapy helped him catch up. Have you talked to your pediatrician to see if he/she recommends physical therapy?

I have a friend whose child was delayed with walking. I believe she was 18 months before she took her first step. Every kid is so different. She ended up not needing physical therapy, but I think if it exceeds 18 months, doctors recommend an intervention. I’m sure your baby girl will be just fine. 😊

@skymomof4 I'm not concerned at all, she was a preemie so it's normal that she's slightly behind, and she crawls all over the place and can pull herself up. But my husband's family can't remember for some reason that she was a preemie and that that's normal. They all think they're Drs 🙄

@lulu85_18 She was a preemie, so Dr believes it's totally normal she's not walking yet. It's my husband's family that think they know it all lol.

@emily526, that would drive me nuts. If my SO parents try to say something negative about the way I parent, they will be getting a mouthful. Lol.

my son wasnt preemie and he didnt walk until 17 months.. people have nothing better to do.

@lulu85_18 Oh his mom does hear it from me lol. She likes to say I raised 5 kids I know what I'm talking about. 🙄 They all came out horrible except for my husband and that's because I finished raising him lmao.

My friends son was a late walker, or so we thought until one day we caught him secretly walking LOL! When he noticed us looking at him gobsmacked he fell to the floor LOL! She’ll walk when she’s ready.

My son didn’t really start walking until around 16 mos.

Every baby is different not all babies walk by a a certain age. My mil tried saying my daughter had something wrong with her brain because she’s clumpsy she said that’s not normal I’m pretty sure when they are learning how to walk and run they are all falling. I honestly think it’s all mil they love to make us mad.

@josefa That's what I'm saying. I don't carry her at all because she's heavy lol she just crawls around and for now she's content with that.
