depression
I just saw another post and commented but i wanted to make one myself. I've been extremely depressed the last couple of weeks. I have some really s*** ty life things going on but besides that, even before they were happening, i was still not feeling myself. I don't know what to do... I feel like giving up every day. I'm always so tired and just wanna stay in bed. I feel like a terrible mom to my son because I just wanna lay around and do nothing. I'm always crying. On top of that, I'm having a really hard time eating so then I feel terrible that I'm not feeling this baby. I'm lost at what to do. I'm not a medication type of person, and have no desire to get on anything. I don't ever have the time for therapy, I end up canceling appointments because I'm just so exhausted by the time they come.

I just want to say, as someone who knows people on medication, and has dealt with them off of it, don't knock it before you try it. We're so lucky that we have these types of therapies available to us. Go western medicine! There is still a lot of stigma surrounding mental health. Open every door before you start closing them. Hope you get the help you need.

I've tried it and have had terrible experiences with it. And I especially don't want to take any with baby. I'm never comfortable with that.. but thank you.

I'm so sorry you are going through that. If you don't want to go the medicine route, at least try to seek someone to talk to. Your OB might be a good place to start. I know it is tough when you are lacking energy but it can only make you and baby feel better. Good luck and take care.

I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time.
Have you ever tried online therapy or phone therapy? Since you're too exhausted to go out, it might be another channel to explore.
I tried online therapy for stress management and depression about 2.5 years ago and it was quite beneficial. Especially because it was on my own time and when I felt like I was more "in need".

Have you had your thyroid checked at all? Ive had depression for 10yrs and finally came off meds at the beginning of the year. This pregnancy had given me a hormone induced high thyroid.
I couldnt stop crying, I mean like 5hrs straight. I paced up and down my house vomiting and panicking over nothing. It was like nothing id ever felt before. My throid was quite out but now that its med controlled I am totally back to normal.
