Did any of you moms have to delay circumcision for your baby? My son was too small when I went for his appt so I may have to wait until he is at least six months old. Unfortunately at that time that would have to put him under general anesthesia and that scares me 😥 The hospital where I gave birth is willing to reassess him at one month which is the latest that they will do the procedure using local anesthesia; however he was only covered by my insurance for seven days. I receive my medical care via Veterans Affairs. He is covered under my husband's insurance but that hospital is out of network smh. I may consider paying out of pocket if he is big enough when he reaches one month. I really don't want to do the general anesthesia.

Can you try filing for an extension with your dr since he medically has to wait?
@nellybamba, yes. He was a little sleepy and grumpy when he first woke up. And extra cuddly.

Have you considered not circumcising him?
Mine had to have his re done when he was one. I was scared too but he did great. It was quick and he was back to himself after a day of recovering.
