So I'm 38weeks 4 days. I'm going to try a vbac but my doctor told me that if i don't go into labor before 40 weeks then on my due date I will have a csection 😭. How can I induce labor naturally??? , I don't want another csection 😣😣😣
Why would he go straight to c section babe I delivered at 41 weeks and 2 days my water still didn’t break I had to be induced but I delivered vaginally with no problem
@maya......, I was told the same with my daughter. But I spoke to my doctor and we agreed as long as they’re are no complications with fluid levels I’d go to at least 41 weeks before considering being induced or have a c section. Luckily for me my daughter came on her own 3 days before the 41 week mark.
It depends on why you had a c section the first time around and other factors
@wheelercharle4, my first born was breech, that’s why I also had a c section. I actually had an appointment on the day I was going into the hospital to try to turn her. Then found out I was in labor had no idea😳
They were planning on letting me go for as long as I needed to to go into labor when a vbac was my plan, but my son is breech and there's too many factors that could cause complications doing a vbac breech birth, so 39 week c section it is. It makes me sad, but at least it won't be an emergency c section this time around (unless I go into labor before July 2nd).
I'm just wondering why you have to have a c section if you don't go into labor before 40 weeks, is it really medically necessary?
I was induced and delivered vaginally so I don't know much about the circumstances around c sections.
