This week or next week we are getting are keys to our very 1st apartment & I’m very nervous since it’s my 1st time living in a Apartment I’m scared how tight it will be with 3 kids & how I’ll probably hear the neighbors have sex lmfaoo 😭😩🤣 just the smallest stuff any Advice lady’s ??? How did y’all handle living in one ??? & what’s better top or bottom apartment??🤔🤔

Top is nice so you don't hear club feet walking around at night, but at the same time carrying groceries up stairs sucks. And people may complain about kids running.

If you have kids Bottom... if your on top most likely your gonna end up having problems with the downstairs people🙄 happened with me haha..

I don't recommend a bottom one. The last one I lived in I could hear the people on top stomping around at all times of day/night. Without exaggerating i will tell you that from the stomping my lightbulbs would break and one time they even knocked down one of my ac vents. I would've never imagined that was possible. Then their bathtub had a leak and all that water leaked into mine.

Even though I tried being as quiet as possible kids are kids.. but grumpy neighbors didn’t understand that lol. Happened with my mother in law Too.. she was alone upstairs. And couldn’t even walk without the lady at the bottom hitting the top with the broom.. I couldn’t with that lady lmao

If there is space in between apartments you shouldn't hear much. Top is what we prefer, when it's cold hot air rises so you don't have to worry so much about heating your own apartment as well as noises you hear are less (unless you got ones like our downstairs neighbors that play guitar and laugh and scream like little girls.. they are men in their mid 20s) but on the bottom apartment you hear just walking and talking and really everything. Upstairs you don't get all that.

I prefer the botton cause it's not a lot of work with having to take laundry, groceries or furniture especially with the stroller and carseat but I wish I had an upstairs sometimes because they can leave their windows open to air out instead lf being worried about anything and everything like I always am. Buuut I do step hard so I wouldn't want people banging on my floors lmao and you don't really hear much, except for music sometimes and a loud TV but we have our TV loud also so it doesn't really bother us. Annnd it is good music sometimes so you just have to look at the bright side of things and a give and take on things ya know. If you do feel uncomfortable on some stuff it's best to talk to your neighbors and be on good terms with them because they become more understanding and cooperative lol
