My birth story!! So Tuesday morning I kept waking up to some intense contractions....I finally gave up on sleep and started timing. Nothing I did made them ease up and they got to 4-7 mins apart. So I called the doctor....they had me come in to be checked and I was 5cm so they sent me to be admitted. By the time I got there, which was literally across the street, I was at 6cm and contractions 2-6mins apart....they hooked me up, i got my epi, and then I just stalled.. I stayed at 6cm for HOURSSSSSS......they broke my water.... nothing. They gave me a Foley bulb...only dilated to 7cm....then the pitocin. Lord the pitocin! Made the contractions even stronger and then my epi stopped working!!!! I was at 8cm and in excruciating pain.....I was spewing out all kinds of curse words in front of my mom and MIL..oops! I was in a complete daze....the staff finally sympathized because they realized my epi was leaking from all the tossing and turning I was doing....i had even ripped out my hand IV by accident, blood went everywhere, and they finally gave me another epi just in time at about 9cm.....heaven! But then I was so numb I couldn't feel how to push...so I just had to go through the motions and base it off the staff and my family telling me I was pushing enough or not enough. Craziest feeling ever since I usually feel all the pushing, ring of fire, etc with my other births. So after I'd say about 20/30 minutes of pushing my baby boy came into this world weighing 7lbs 3oz and peeing on the doc! Then they handed him to me and he pooped up my arm! He's in the NICU now but he's doing well....pics soon! Thank you all for your encouragement!!
