Noah will be 2 weeks old this Friday and I’m just now starting to feel normal again. I didn’t feel right after coming home from the hospital and just knew something was off. I had a horrible headache that kept me awake all night and could barely function each day. Come to find out, I had postpartum preeclampsia/eclampsia and my blood pressure was scary high. I usually run in the 90s/50s or 60s and mine was up to 167/94. I was admitted into the hospital last Saturday and put on a magnesium drip all night. I ended up peeing out over 3 liters of fluid and lost 8lbs overnight. My body just wasn’t expelling all that extra fluid for whatever reason. Still feeling a little sluggish, but at least the headache is gone.
