I can't fall asleep and don't really want to, I don't know why but I just feel like there's something wrong... I keep checking on our daughter, just so worried lately. With her platelets being high and now she has a rash that just seems worse and worse every day and low grade fevers, and rapid breathing in her sleep........ Just want to know what is going on and her doctor won't give me any answers about what is causing it or if its all related or anything..Thursday we go to see a different doctor, but I just have a bad feeling

Just one more day one more day! Hang in there mommy. From what you have researched yourself ( I know we are not suppose to assume what's wrong) any idea of what could be wrong? Or could it be something hereditary I'm down the line on either side of the family?

@lana30319 the only thing that the doctors has mentioned is thrombocytosis which is caused by so many different things from iron deficiency (which we know isn't the case cuz they checked that first) to worst case scenario leukemia...... And the doctors won't say anything at all so we have no idea what to look for or anything.

@lana30319 things are good, the news was great news. Her primary doctor was comparing her platelet count to the wrong age group. For her age her platelets are within the normal range. And the fever and rash are from a virus. And her breathing has returned to normal. So glad the other doctor we seen is more experienced. I am seriously considering switching to a new doctor

@1xmom that is such a blessing to hear! And if I was you I would change doctors. Don't want the something to happen 2xs
