@roguemommyofjx3, a few reasons. The main one being that she has 7 teeth and constantly bites down no matter how much I try to correct her. Also I’ve allowed her to use me as a pacifier. She sleeps on my breast and if I simply try to remove her so I can use the bathroom she freaks out. I’ve watched her from the other room playing and being completely fine but as soon as she sees me she freaks out only to result to pulling on my shirt trying to nurse. I feel she’s TOO depended on nursing. Trust me I know all the benefits and I have tons of milk stocked. I want my body back and I want her to continue to thrive and not be constantly distracted by ALWAYS wanting to nurse.

@messiah-mommy my daughter had those issues too she just learned to stop and she is now more independent and nurses left. But I feel you, when she was doing it I was a little stressed out but I'm trying to enjoy all of it cuz she's my last child.

@roguemommyofjx3, she’s my first and don’t get me wrong I LOVE nursing . All the benefits and the emotional bond but it takes a toll on me when I can’t even cook dinner cuz all she wants to do is latch. She won’t even be hungry! I can’t watch her play with her cousins cuz she’d rather pull at my shirt. It can make the experience a bit depressing. Shit sometimes I feel used lol

Just be on the lookout for clogged ducts because you can still get mastitis. If you get a clog, you can pump or hand express just enough to work it out. Massage the clog while you pump/express and stop as soon as it's gone. You can use cold compresses for pain. Good luck!
