L&D nurses are RNs who have specialized in labor and delivery. This might mean through extra clinical hours, additional certifications, or just on the job experience.

@ek620, so once I do an RN course and get that, then I can proceed and do whatever I need to do for the L&D nursing?

@noahs.mommy, I believe the answer is yes to both of your questions, but I’m not 100% sure. Are you thinking of enrolling in a nursing program? Those would be great questions for the schools you’re looking at.
