Thinking about getting the Paraguard 10 yr when this baby is born! Anybody have experience with this…

I did... Only kept it in for 9 mos bc my periods got out of control. I should've did the Mirena instead. Now I have the Nuvaring and I like it

I will not get anything shoved up in my lady bits. Scares the shit out of me. I have the arm implant. You can feel it. It’s good for 4 years. And people say it can move through your body and hit your heart 🙄 exaggeration. You can literally feel it and see it poke out a little bit. It isn’t uncomfortable at all and I don’t have periods except last week bc I was on an antibiotic and they cancel out birth control.

And the arm implant (nexplanon) is one of the most effective birth controls out with the least amount of side effects. Only “side effect” I have is no periods which I don’t even consider it a side effect. It’s a blessing 😂

@emileewells1153 I've got the same one. I love mine I still get my period though but I don't mind it. It can't hit your heart but I can travel my friend had the implanon which they don't make anyone move into her muscle

I had the paraguard after I had my 5 year old. I only had it in for 2 months. My periods have always been easy no cramping no bloating nothing just bleeding. Got the paraguard and I would have craps that made me cry and make me fall to my knees (I have a very high pain tolerence)y periods were heavier and seem to happen more often. I called and told them i want it out and they were trying to talk me into give it more time to regulate and I said nope i want to next appt I can have and I was in a a few days later. And my period went completely back to normal.

I got pregnant a year later and after son I got the mirena and loved it only got it out to get pregnant again.and I don't use birth control now cause I got my tubes burned completely. So no more babies for me

A few mos after having it they got longer and I had very intense cramping.

@sam.momx5 it sounds like @brookehayes585 had a similar experience to mines. So did my sis. The doctor advised me to try the Mirena but I didn't listen.

I had it for about a year it was terrible and when they pulled it out it had implanted a little bit and they didn’t know , boy did that hurt it also looked absolutely disgusting and rusty looking after coming out, ugh never again.

I would never use an IUD ever again. I had the 10 year one and it fell out. Last year I got the skylar and I got pregnant with it perfectly in place. I think all IUD’s should be pulled off the market

mirena was the best one for me loved it never had a problem with it and my period went away after a year of having it!
