Sounds like it’s infected. That’s how mine started when I got an infection.

It could be infection... or you could just not be keeping it dry enough. Are there still steristrips on it? That can also make an awful smell and sometimes make it look like it's oozing when it's not. If there isn't steel strips and you're sure you have been keeping it dry though I'd go in. I'm a pretty big girl and I didn't have any problems with odor or oozing under my belly flap where my incision was. I wore a maxi pad on my incision to keep it dry though.

Clean it with water. I had that problem and I'm a big girl. Also use a blow dryer to dry it.

@wheelercharle4 OMG... im so afraid reading these comments. Yes, i wasn't keeping it dry too well and still have the tape/strips on. Im going to try the maxi pad... and if it dont go away by morning i will def go in..

@bbyzvcy18 well if the steri strips already smell bad they will probably smell until they fall off, if just get as clean and dry as possible and then stick the absorbent part of the maxi pad to it and just check to see if it looks like it's oozing still tomorrow. They'll take the strips off if you go to the doctor though and then you will know for sure. You will be absolutely miserable if you let an infection go.

I agree with the girls go and get checked. I always wore high cotton panties to absorb moisture. I would alway shower daily and pat dry then I went over it with a rubbing alcohol rinse and pat dried again.

I had the same thing .. mine got infected even though I cleaned it regularly.
