How long did it take to go into labor after Dr. stripped your membranes? Just had mine stripped. Only open 1cm. And have to go in Thursday night to get induced.
@fuhgeddaboudit, yea cuz the membrane sweep should help you go into labor on your own without getting induced
@fuhgeddaboudit, you can ask for it to be done but like my ob said if it doesn’t work or they can’t do it then they’ll do it till 39 weekA
@fuhgeddaboudit, you can request it but it’s best if your doctor brings it up. Ima get mine done on Thursday cuz I turn 38 weeks but I am 3cm dilated and 50% effaced. But like I said you can ask your ob
I went into labor an hour later. My OB said it only works if your body is ready.
@boymomx3, i sure will! Lol i want to go in naturally. Heard its less painful
@fuhgeddaboudit, not sure depending on your situation. I was originally due july 5th but dr pushed for june 21 due to having high blood pressure but im sure if you ask hell let you know and do it at 38/39weeks if you havent dilated more.
@caylintay, hadnt thought of going to the mall!! Im going to have to change into gymshoes and head that way later.
@fuhgeddaboudit, no i didnt request it at all. Im assuming she did it because i have to go in Thursday night to deliver at 38weeks due to hbp and shes been checking my cervix weekly and hasnt opened until today only 1cm. I guess its so i can go in naturally instead of having to have my water broken and contractions provoked.
@caylintay, yea im going to have to go for a walk later just not as easy anymore since my feet get extremely swollen in this heat 😩
@yesicondaa, it’s a 50/50 shot but just walk bounce and squat that’s what I did at least!
@caylintay, i have 3 days before having to be induced at 38weeks. Hoping this helps me dilate faster.
@yesicondaa, 39 weeks 4 days!
