That's what you're supposed to do anyway. So they're free from any perfumes or anything that could potentially irritate their skin from being in the store. Plus, baby detergent smells amazing!
Definitely . I work in retail and the baby clothes is so disgusting... stepped on , stored in old boxes , etc etc. I wash all my newborn stuff but once they are older I don't tend to wash new items , only used . I should probably wash new items regardless tho.
Always wash. I’d say new clothes are probably dirtier than used clothes generally, because at least used clothes have been washed. Of course it depends where you get the used clothes from. New clothes have probably been covered in rat poop on a warehouse floor somewhere and are then sprayed with chemicals to make them look fresh on the shelf. Not to mention all the people who have been touching them in their process of being made and sitting in the store. The care tag on baby clothes specifically says to was before use, so you are technically supposed to. You really should wash all new clothes regardless of who they’re for.
Not all but some. Wash as needed! Some babies don’t fit newborn 🤷♀️ so wash once you know the size. I have some newborn and 0-3 washed, both sizes are in my bag for when the baby gets here. I’ve seen many moms say they wish they waited because their baby skipped sizes and you can’t return washed clothes and people don’t really want to spend more than $1 on used clothing. 🤷♀️

Honestly no. I washed all the used clothes I purchased but anything new I didn’t.

I wash everything, even my clothes before wearing them.
