Small victories are fckn amazing the past 2 nights hes gone from 12-6 am without feeding. Not hopeful enough to think it might become a regular thing yet but still 2 nights in a row feels like something to celebrate:) downside tho is he isnt going down for the night until 12 am.. murr:/

That’s a great start! Fingers crossed that it’ll stay this way for a bit so you can rest as well!

@queenmeeks maybe, im not that hopeful though, yes he went 6 hours without eating which is awesome but hes not settling so ive been rocking him for about 4 1/2 hours now. So ive barely even had an hour of sleep all night.

What time is his last nap of the day? When mine was that old, I had to cut out her last nap of the day and it helped her fall asleep earlier. I always felt like throwing a party when she slept for more than 3 hours at a time. It's so hard and frustrating. Hopefully your son figures sleep out sooner than mine did (she was 20 months old before she slept through the night 😖)

@megand15 cutting out naps doesn't work he still doesnt go down till late but hell just be extra cranky. If you try put him to bed earlier like 10 hell wake up 15-30 minutes later, have attempted it several times

@avianlouiebos sounds like my daughter. It does get better, hang in there 😊

@avianlouiebos I understand. Mine is 2.5 and some days she's still up partying 930-10 and I'm like seriously. You woke up at 6am....where do you get this fecking energy from

@megand15 what makes it so hard is my bf is gone between 5-7 am until 3-5 pm so i have to watch him all day and then pretty much do the night shift (baby being awake until 12 am and then doing a feed during the night too) cuz my bf cant cuz he has to work so early so that leaves me with like 4 hours of sleep everynight and im a light sleeper so I cant really take naps in the day

@avianlouiebos sound like what we went through. I can't nap either. My hubby for months would walk her back and forth down the hall until she fell asleep. This was birth-6 months. I'd even try to let her fall asleep at the boob, even though people told me not to. I was desperate for her to sleep, and we couldn't afford a sleep consultant. As soon as she was asleep, no matter how long we waited, within 10 min of putting her down she would wake up. On a good night she didn't wake up screaming. I even tried warming her bed before putting her down so the cold mattress didn't wake her up. Didn't matter. One creak of the floor too and she would bolt awake. Even tried sound machines. So exhausting! I know how you feel. You just have to go one day at a time. Some days I had to take it 1 hour because she could be so grumpy, especially her first 6 weeks.

@megand15 i only got an hour of sleep last night and most likely the same tonight
......·
@avianlouiebos does he sleep if you put him in bed with you? She slept with us 90% of the time
jenna bos·

@megand15 yea but that doesn't change the night situation i only have the opportunity to sleep between like 12 am and 5 am
......·
@avianlouiebos when she was older I cut out her night feed, because she nursed a lot during the day and sometimes had formula. I can't remember what age that was, but it got me an extra hour

@megand15 ok?

@avianlouiebos you said do a feed during the night too. At a certain age mine had enough during the day, my doctor said she didn't need the night feed. So that gave me a bit more sleep.
