I respect anyone who can be a stay at home mom and not go crazy.... but it has never been my dream…

Your not. I'm not the stay at home type either. I have no desire to be a stay at home mom. I love working and the freedom it gives me. I love being around people.

It not easy, but stay-at-home moms work hard all day as well. We just don’t get paid for it. I’ve been a SAHM since I basically had my oldest. I had a job for a few months and it was so nice to get out of the house but I just wanted to be there to take care of my son.

@txmomof5 Yes, I must have the conversation with other adults, personally, to keep me sane!

@babymay2016, I don't want to talk to my 12 yr old daughter and hear all the drama with her friends. I would rather hear adult drama, lol!

@kristenmarie Oh yes, it isn't easy at all. I have done it more than just those six months but at other points too. I have serious respect for anybody that can be a stay at home mom. It's hard work. I am just not cut out for it. I miss my baby when I am at work but I enjoy working.

@txmomof5 Well my first is only two but I can so totally relate. I have an 11 year old brother that I live with too and omgggggg yeah I much rather the adult drama.

@meganeliza It was really really hard for me too when I had my first. I have been working since I was 16yrs old. I even dropped out of high school so I could work more. I did end up graduating, but my point is I just get along better with adults than I ever did with people my own age and now I realize children. I love love love my son, but I do not wish to spend every single minute of every day with him. I am happy to know I am not the only one. I was so much happier when I went back to work and I was miserable when staying at home every day. I am upset too to be leaving work again for so long, with having another c section. I am going to put in more effort to breast feed this baby and then go back to work when I can. I won't be spending six months at home this time, no matter what. 2 months and I will be back at work.

Being a stay at home mom is so hard. I did it for 5 yrs until I went through a divorce then I went back to work. I did everything I could to keep busy. I’d take them to the library for story and craft time where I met a great friend. We did play dates. I joined a moms group. Through all of that I still struggled. I started going to exercise 2-3x a week after my ex got home and I’d run every night. It was a huge stress reliever. I couldn’t run to save my life now but would love to pick it up after this pregnancy. I’m trying to decided if I want to stay at home with my twins on the way or not. I know I’m going back for awhile and see if I can swing it. It’s a hard choice. Being a stay at home mom is a wonderful thing but it’s not for everyone.

Thats my current situation. Stay at home mom and it has been driving me crazy. I make my husband stay home when he gets home from work just so I can go to the store by myself. I also started school even though its all online it has helped a lot.

I loved being at home when I had my daughter, since I had 6 weeks off. But I went back to work and I didn’t realize how much I missed it. I only work 3 days, but I work 12 hours, then 9, and then 7. It’s nice to be at home 4 days out of the week. I feel like I get the best of both.

I’ve been a sahm for almost 4 years now. I’m slowly losing my insanity 😭. Taking a career path pretty soon so won’t be long before I’m working again 🙌🏼
