So my 10 year old step daughter wants to wear the brand new clothes we just bought her to her outdoor summer camp, I mean I get it, but she is the messiest not caring person I know, she claims she doesn’t like any of the other clothes she has...what do we do, is this really the age where they become worried about there looks? Gosh I just feel sad this is was too early for little girl to be so concerned about that stuff!!

That is how my younger sister was and still is but she's far from messy. I would just tell her she could take one or two new outfits and that she needs to keep them clean.

My step daughter whos 11 just wants to wear and have whatever is new 😒 she went to camp last week and we didnt let her bring anything new, gone for 3 days cane back with stained clothes that smelt like mildew so bad i washed them 3 times. It was gross
