@sydneykay12 it's a bacteria that is naturally occurring in the vaginal/anal area, if you have an overgrowth of it when you have the baby it can be passed and cause infections in the baby. So if you test positive for it you will have iv antibiotics during labor to take care of it.
Mainly worried about sepsis (systemic infection) meningitis (infection of the lining of the brain and spine) or pneumonia (infection of the lungs) in the baby
