Ok mamas when we start back trying for a baby I may have to use opks! I didn't wanna do it because I think it will stress me out. My periods are like clockwork so that's a blessing 👍🏾👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 but what opks are better? My dr told me I should try them he says I could be missing my window! Which ones worked for you?

I got a big box of cheap ones on Amazon, they worked great! Also if it won't drive you absolutely nuts, basal body temp tracking is super helpful. It's annoying to remember to do it every morning at the same time, but it helped me get pregnant really quickly.

@tristansmama2015, I'm super new here and can't figure out how to send a direct message...and now I feel old.

🤦‍♀️

You have to get a digital thermometer, I used the app Fertility Friend to track so I didn't have to keep a notebook or try to interpret it myself. Basically you set an alarm and wake up at the same time every day and take your temperature before you get up or move around at all. The day after you ovulate your temp jumps way up. It's useful to confirm that you actually ovulated because OPK tests only show you're having a hormone surge. I get 2-5 days of glaring positive OPKs so I only knew I had actually ovulated by tracking my temperature. If that sounds really annoying/tedious, you can try just the OPKs for a cycle and see how they work for you. I just have crazy long surges of luteinizing hormone so for me the OPK wasn't telling me when/if I actually ovulated.
