You can probably find some baby goggles for his eyes.

When we took my 6 year old son to an indoor water park, he was affected by the chlorine after a while. He coughed a lot, to the point we had to buy him some cough syrup and keep him out of the water. Since you'll be outside, the fumes probably won't be as concentrated. Should be fine, just keep an eye out for any issues
