After birth because no one wants to say the reality of the after birth but yeah. Olivias cord was really skinny so it snapped as they tried to remove her placenta, I had to kneel on the floor & push it out myself. First time in 4 births I've actually seen it & after the midwife looked at it found out it had only been working 50-60% as a hard bit of tissue had wrapped itself around the centre of it and stopped it working. (Kinda like a tight rubber band) this explains all her health problems, her small size & the reduced flow through her cord. She's having normal wet nappies which means her kidney (there is definitely only one) is working perfectly. Her ectopic heartbeat went over night so she now doesn't need to have an ETG done on her heart. She finally had her first poop (you know the black tar one that stinks!!) Which means there is no membrane over her bottom like they first thought. & even though she is small she's not as small as they first thought (she was below the 10th centimetres the whole pregnancy but is actually on the 14th) but she is still small for the amount of weeks she was. She has to be monitored every 2 hours due to being one day before 37 weeks & then once she is 24 hours old we can go home. She has a scan for her bowel & kidney in 6-8 weeks.
So basically after all those weeks of worry stress & tears she is perfectly healthy!! Even with her one kidney! One very happy mummy!

@courtniek98x I'm doing really well, I haven't slept yet but I'm not sore at all & apart from the pains in my tummy I honesty don't feel like I've just given birth. Really want a shower though. OH was just filling me in on how I acted after birth while she was checking me over & gave me gas & air (went through the whole Labour on just paracetamol but demand I have gas & air for an examination) apparently I got the giggles and laughed so much at my wobbly belly 😂😂😂😂 I don't remember at all!! x

@mrsmowmow thank you. No body ever wants to talk about the after birth & I don't remember my other ones being delivered. I was scared to push it out this time, thought my insides were gonna come out too, but felt nothing! Haha!! x
