Can someone please tell me what helps get through contractions with no meds? 😭 Laying down, bending and squatting seems to be more painful.

Breathe in for 5 seconds through your nose, hold it for 2 seconds, breathe out through your mouth for 7 seconds, hold for 2, repeat. It helped me a lot with my first

@mz.foy14 just keep trying momma if it gets to be to much you could always ask for pain meds if you don't wanna do the epidural

Breathing really helps and moving your hips back and forth kind of eases the pain.

Try all 4s, try laying side, try the peanut ball if they have it, try the birthing ball, get in tub, get in shower and let water hit your back and hips, have partner or nurse do counter pressure massage, stay relaxed as possible.

As cliche as it sounds breathing helps. Focus on your breath in that moment. Think of something happy and breath through each contraction. When I lost focus and concentrated on the actual pain of the contraction it was a hundred times worse. You’ve got this mama.
