Was it an anatomy scan ordered by the dr or just a novelty location you paid out of pocket for? Regardless it’s really never 100% until baby is here.

At 15 weeks I wouldn’t trust anything.

I found out at 15 weeks and it was clear as day a boy

Did they give you pics of the ultrasound?

I found out at 15 weeks that my pumpkin is definitely a girl lol I was scared everytime I went back that it might have been wrong but nope. Definitely a girl:)

@knockout it's early but hey it works some...I just wanted to see the baby 🙄😌 I wasn't really worried about finding out for sure today haha

I heard if they’re having trouble deciding it’s usually a girl, but who knows. They could also be seeing the umbilical cord and thinking it the penis? My dr made sure to point that out to me 😂

my ultrasound tech said boy. I was really hoping for a girl ... so I asked him if he was sure... that sometimes lady parts can be swollen and look like a penis. he was also offended that I questioned him. He said he was 99% sure boy though 😂 here's my ultrasound (I was 19 weeks)

@kailgurl19xx, 15 week ultrasound. Yours is kind of hard to tell if it's a boy cause girl parts can be swollen

@taylorsmommy1017 I asked the lady taking my blood about how to go about doing that she said they don't do it unless it's an emergency?? I feel like switching to a different place honestly my experiences are always bad there

You can get a NIPT done from your obs office and that’ll also determine the sex. I’ve two girls and judging on your ultrasound pic that’s definitely a girl! With girls there’s three lines down there and it looks like a hamburger and with boys there’s a protrusion that looks like a turtle. With this baby I’m having it’s a boy and ultrasound pic was taken 13 weeks. I think what was disappearing was the umbilical cord floating around and making it appear there was a penis when penis don’t appear and reappear lol. Since the ultrasound tech wasn’t 100% sure that’s definitely a girl! Here’s my babies ultrasound pic to compare.

It’s hit or miss at places like that.. Did they offer any guarantee? (Free session later in pregnancy if wrong)

The anatomy scan is more reliable but even then I’ve heard of some crazy stories.
