I ha e gestational diabetes and I've ate out the last two days because my kids aren't here with me they are at family's house until tomorrow. I have to wat carb smart so I've had Panera soup the past two nights and now I'm thinking I want fajitas from the Mexican restaurant....without the tortillas of course. But I dont want to get up.
@kerstie14, good for you girly. I didn’t know they could diagnose you without taking that test where you can’t eat the night before. I heard every doctor has their own charts of what is considered GD so that’s why I asked.
@stefanystubbs3 I decided to skip tortillas and just get plain fajitas meat and peppers and such and that way I can have some chips:)
@stefanystubbs3 I didnt tske the test. I had GD with my 2 prior pregnancies so I just took my blood sugars for a week and was diagnosed. I deff knew I was because I was already getting that heavy feeling after a big meal at 6 weeks.
When you took the test what was your level? Mine was 125 and my doctor said it was fine.
I had GD with my first daughter. My favorite snacks were apple slices with some peanut butter, strawberries, peanut butter crackers, sugar free jello, cucumbers, carrots, red yellow and orange peppers, veggie straws, cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs and almonds.
