Throughout this whole pregnancy I have had group b my cultures came back today and I still have it…

I've had group b with both boys. And with Kallan he delivered so fast I wasn't even able to get 1 round of antibiotics before he came. I didn't pass anything and he was great. I know how scary it can be mama 💙 but try not to worry to much. It is pretty common and they are prepared and ready for it.

@jessig2006 thanks hun I'm so scared every since o found out about three months ago I got out of the pregnancy glow and with next month being my last month that baby won't come I still haven't wrapped my head around ima be a new mommy again I find myself crying and in denial cause I feel when I almost died about 7 months ago it's my fault I have group b cause right after that I found out I was pregnant when I got out the hospital depression is killing me cause Its like it won't go away. You are giving me hope I'm just so scared I don't know what to do

I had group b from the beginning of my pregnancy with dd2. She came out fine. As long as you get the antibiotics you’ll be fine.

@glencoco I'm taking them but my body is not accepting it three doctors called my husband today while I was In work and said I needed more cause it's not clearing up it's on the swab and in my urine so I guess I'm doing something wrong

@ambrerumph1440, don’t take the antibiotics while you’re pregnant. It’ll just keep coming back and put you at risk for developing a yeast infection. When you go in to labor you’ll get iv antibiotics that are stronger than the regular pills you’re probably taking.

@glencoco even thou the Dr is calling making it an issue cause they act like I'm dying literally and keep making me take them nasty big ol pills

@ambrerumph1440, get a second opinion then. You’re not dying. A lot of women have group b and don’t even know it. It’s fairly common and taking regular antibiotics isn’t going to cure it. They give you the iv antibiotics so that it clears up long enough to have your baby. The group b isn’t harmful otherwise.

@ambrerumph1440 I'm so sorry mama. It could just be a difficult strand but you are definitely not doing anything wrong. You are doing what you can to take care of it and protect yourself and your baby. You are strong and amazing! Have you tried talking to someone? I'm always here to talk or vent to if you need it. Pregnancy is hard and scary and terrifying at times. You are not alone 💗

@glencoco this is the third Dr that actually checked me cause I didn't trust and believe it at first do you think my body not working with the antibiotics because I'm always getting Uti's and that's what they give me? 🚨

@ambrerumph1440, if they keep prescribing the same antibiotics and they aren’t working they should do a culture to see what antibiotics the uti and group b respond to. Also if you take the same antibiotic to much it can become ineffective. I’d mention trying a different antibiotic or asking them to culture the bacteria. If it’s just for the group b though I wouldn’t even bother. Utis should be treated though since they can cause complications and preterm labor.

@jessig2006 thanks hun and will do I finally talked to my counselor about it but I get so scared and freeze up thinking that someone is gonna judge me

@glencoco ima ask them that when I go back cause the same antibiotics they give me for my uti is the same for the group b ima ask them to change it or something cause I'm over these pills like literally

Not trying to be rude I'm only asking cause I really don't know. But what is group b? Have faith that everything will be alright. I know it's hard but stress is also tough on you and your sweet baby.

@m.pollina1992 it's a bacteria infection that's normally found during a swab from the outside of the vagina to the rectum it also can be in your urine mine have been detected both all women have it in their body

Oh wow I had a bacterial infection myself. And it stressed me out because it was with a UTI and together was causing me some issues... So I understand more now. Well gelncoco said they'll give you iv antibiotics while in labor. So hopefully that will give you some comfort and help with stress. Yeah try thinking about the iv antibiotics when you get nervous. Because from the sounds of it it will be taken care of thank goodness. :))) I'm sorry that your having a hard time with it
