What are some of your guys views on leashes for kids? 😕 I’ve just been thinking..

It’s called a harness and they’re seriously fine. I’d rather keep my runner safe in a crowd of people or near a busy street. Don’t judge til you have a runner or a lot of things to juggle

I thought they were horrible until my daughter turned one! That girl turned into an animal

I don't see any harm in them I have a monkey back pack one for her when she gets older.

Or if you don't feel comfortable with that they have wrist bands that you put on you and the kid

@savana_h, Noah is also an animal lol he’s so independent which is fine but it wasn’t fine when we were at six flags the other day and he was just running off cause he didn’t want to sit in the stroller. We had to take him out often because they wouldn’t let us take the stroller certain places which I thought was bs.

I was put in one when I was his age for about 5 minutes because I guess I had a meltdown and it just looked awful to my parents and I’m worried that people will say something to me about it but I mean...he runs he’s super independent and I just want to make trips like these easy as possible and safe as possible..

I think in a crowd, with a runner your better safe then sorry. I find at the running stage they don’t want to be in a stroller or carried. They want to be down and frankly with a runner that’d be exhausting lol

I used to judge parents who did this hard until my kid became walking running toddler. Now I totally get it.

I think we’ll try the harness one first if that doesn’t work I’ll try the wrist band one I just need to do SOMETHING because we have passes for this place and we’ll be going a lot and quite frankly he’d be fine putting the harness back on if it needed to come off rather than getting back in the stroller. That was the worst part was getting back in the stroller 😫

@tacos4lyfe, I’m so glad so many moms are good with it. Makes me nervous but something needs to be done I feel like I’m torturing him keeping him in the stroller

I’ve never found them necessary with my kids. But I can see how they would be useful safety devices for people with runners. I’ve unfortunately seen a lot of parents use them as a substitute for parenting. Which is not what they are intended for.

I had the backpack one with my youngest. She’s all over the place still at 7! Told her yesterday that I may get another one 😂 honestly, they are great and I don’t see the issue. I used to think they were bad until I had a kid that was very hyper.

@noahs.mommy, it’s an animal backpack like harness. Like the monkey one in comments. Ours was a puppy.

I don’t see nothing wrong with them I personal won’t use one in my kid but that’s me but you do what you have to do too keep your kids safe. If someone looks at you funny or judge you then they have the problem.

I have one for my daughter because she is a runner and ran in front of a car one time (I run slower than her) so now she’ll be using it when we go certain places

@eryka616, yeah I want to use it for six flags because we have passes and will be going a lot. We went the day before yesterday and it was a nightmare...all we had was the stroller and our hands but he’s a runner and throws fits(he’s exactly like I was when I was his age and I use to hit and kick my mom if my dad left to the store without saying goodbye to me first) he’s so bad

I still do that at my son age now

For me me I just hated those I felt like it’s lazy n mean looks like a pet

@diegosmommy0213, i was in one for like 5 minutes because I had a meltdown and my parents thought it looked like I was being tortured or something so they never used it again but my mom highly suggest I try one because he is going to get picked up no matter how much I run and chase after him

@diegosmommy0213, he likes to be independent. I want to give him that but still hold onto him ya know? His running terrifies me especially the other day at six flags my heart dropped whenever he ran or would try to go places that he’d get stuck in
