Just to add some insight from experience.
When my daughter was 3, she fell awkwardly down our back steps. One foot went off the side and the other slipped down, if that makes sense.. she got what her doctor called a straddle genital injury. It caused bleeding, a lot of bleeding.. it was really scary. Minor injuries can cause major bleeding because there is such a high blood supply in that area.
