I was induced with my first..I felt the same (minus csection) I was on the drip for 2 hours before my body kicked in and the drip was removed. Although it’s a way of pushing our bodies into full active labour and hurts a wee more then the natural process. There’s a good chance at 41 weeks, baby 3; your body will take over quickly and they’ll remove the drip. You’ve got this ;)

@vintagepony, my first was csection my second was a miscarriage so I’ve never dilated much. Only a 1 with my daughter and I’m not sure how much with the miscarriage. I’m not dilated at ALL yet with this one and I can’t use cervidil or whatever it is because of the csection. We are doing straight pitocin and maybe a foley bulb if he can get it in with me not being dilated. Or maybe I will dilate a little by then hopefully.

@liz41395, You can still do it :) Yes, with very little dilation, straight Pitocin will be tough! But the good news is if you do choose that route you can get an epidural to help with any pain during contractions or simply rest assured that whatever pain you do experience is pretty much none existent the moment babies out! I keep reminding myself that the pain isn’t forever, just for now.

You can do it!! And even if not... it’s not the end of the world. The important thing is to have you and your little one safe and healthy.
