I think so? Not entirely sure what you mean by sleep trained, but I worked on his bedtime routine while exclusively breastfeeding and he ultimately slept through the night consistently. Anything in particular I can share with you?

@leowifey, just getting him to sleep longer than 20-30 minutes at a time. Lol. He has the same routine and goes down without a fight just he won’t stay asleep. How did you get your boy to not use you as a pacifier? And actually stay asleep?

@_sheriee I see! Kiddo was a pretty good sleeper from the start. But he also responded well to the Ferber method. I let him fuss and moan when for several minutes when i knew he wasn't hungry. I think it was what taught him how to fall back asleep.

Now, I also give him a few pacifiers in the crib at bedtime so he can find one quickly if he wakes up.

Has he always done that or is it something he’s just started? My son went through several sleep regressions and started doing that each time. I couldn’t ever figure out what to do about it, but after a couple of weeks he would go back to sleeping longer.

@_sheriee, I also put several pacifiers in his bed and started using the glow in the dark ones so he could find them easily and I let him cry/fuss a little. He is now really good at self soothing and has been able to get himself back to sleep without fussing since he was about 8 months old. Hope it gets better for you! I know how frustrating it can be.

@chelseaz, did he always take a paci? Mine refuses them. I’ve tried at least 10 different ones

@_sheriee, not really. For the first couple of months, he would just spit it out. I had to buy the MAM pacifiers too because he wouldn’t give any other one the time of day. Now he’s pretty glued to his paci though and uses it to get to sleep. I’m not looking forward to the day I finally decide he needs to get rid of it.

@_sheriee My LO was also particular about his paci. The Wubbanub was the only kind he ever took. It's got an animal sewn to the end of it, making it easier for him to hold and find in his crib.

@chelseaz ditto! Mine relies on the paci to fall asleep. Losing it will be a battle.

But that's a problem for future Mom. 🤣

@_sheriee my son is 2 and still wants me throughout the night.... Won't take paci and doesn't want Dada 😟 most of the time I sleep through him trying to find it but goodness! Idk how to get him to sleep through the night either.

@scidg3, omg girl I wouldn’t mind 2-3 tines a night but this little boy is a minimum of 10!!! Oh and he won’t cosleep!!! He gets all squirmy in my bed

Ohh man...I couldn't imagine getting up to nurse that many times. What is sometime else gets up with him and gives him water

There’s no one to get up with him except me /:@scidg3,
