This is all I got after pumping on one side for 30mins. So frustrated!... I can’t seem to get my supply up this time around🤦🏾♀️ Please leave some suggestions!
@glencoco, @oddie, thank you so much. I’m definitely making a trip to the supermarket tomorrow. Are oatmeal cookies a good option as well?
I wasn’t a big oatmeal fan either but I like this one. I mix it with some Greek yogurt, usually strawberry, vanilla honey or black cherry, and add some mini chocolate chips. It’s delish that way.
@kissesz30, I eat Quaker but steel cut is probably better for making milk. Try adding fruit, sugar, syrup, yogurt or something to flavor it up. @oddie, might be able to help with that she eats it a lot.
@cphelps39, that’s what his pediatrician said. It’s just that with my last 2 kids, I had so much milk I felt like a damn cow. Trying not to stress it though
@glencoco, @alysia.alysia, omg you ladies have no idea how much water I drink 😫 I hate oatmeal but I’m going to suck it up and add it to my diet.
Don't be discouraged. Any amount you get is a win! You're doing great!
Drink lots of water and TRY not to stress. It's a supply and demand function.
This is how I was with my first baby. So I had to supplement with formula. Now with my second I drink so much water before & after I pump. I also try pumping every 1-2 hours. I still never get more then 2 ounces, but my supply has definitely gone up. I also eat oatmeal everyday (or at least try to) just keep pumping & drinking a lot of water! I noticed Some woman just make more then others. It's just how our bodies are. Good luck!
Also, you might be making more and just don’t respond well to a pump. Some women can’t pump but make an adequate supply of milk. The baby is just more effective at emptying your breasts than a pump is.
Try power pumping, drinking a bottle of water during every session, and eating oatmeal for breakfast.
@kissesz30, I’d look up lactation cookie recipes on Pinterest. Those are helpful. Fenugreek is a good supplement and there’s Mother’s milk teas as well. Also, I am apart of a Facebook community called the Leaky Boob and there are so many helpful women on there specifically for nursing. So that’s a good resource for you as well. 💕
